I read that they have thousands of doctors on the island and that they even have sent thousands to Venezula and other countries. Does anyone know how their medical education program is structured. I have heard that it takes about 3 years after high school to become a physician there. It sounds plausible since they seem to graduate doctors at an incredible rate. I have even read that Castro is offering medical education to poor students from the US who would like to go there. Can anyone shed some light on Cuba.
